Held in God's Gaze: Faith in the North -
Returning to the Roots

Over the course of three sessions, each self-contained, we will return to the spiritual character and vision of our ancient forebears, the original bearers of Christian faith to this part of the country:

  1. the Northern Saints at and around Lindisfarne and the charism of faith in the face of social confusion and cultural decline (3 June);

  2. St Paulinus and the ancient roots of faith in Lancashire (5 September);

  3. St Chad and humility in the face of conflict (21 November).

Nicholas Heale lives and works in Blackburn, and has overseen the development of Held in God’s Gaze as a space in which to reflect more deeply on our nurture of the spiritual life.

Please save the date, and click on the button below to book your place! The cost for participants is the usual £36 for a Whalley Abbey quiet day and the day includes lunch and refreshments.
