On this 4-day/3 night residential retreat at Whalley Abbey, we invite you to join us for a chance to retreat and reflect together.
Starting with John Bunyan's famous hymn from Part 2 of 'The Pilgrim's Progress' we explore a little of the background to Christian pilgrimage and the purpose and experience of pilgrimages, both long and short, today. Included will be the opportunity to take part in a 'mini pilgrimage' to what is believed to be the gravestone of Christopher Smith, the last Prior of Whalley Abbey, whose death was recorded in the parish register as July 5th 1539, three years following the suppression of the Abbey in 1536.
This Residential Retreat will also be full-board and cost £265.00 per person
