Join us here at Whalley Abbey for a day retreat together. There will be time throughout the day for prayer and reflection. We will also join together to celebrate Eucharist at 3.30pm.

This will be the third of our four 'day retreats' hosted each week throughout Advent. 

Advent is typically a time of preparation at home and at church. But for Christians around the world, Advent is about so much more. The word ‘Advent’ is derived from the Latin word adventus, meaning “coming”. Advent is as a chance to prepare for Christmas and enjoy all that it brings. But as Christians, we also look beyond Christmas 2021 and on towards the promise of Jesus’ next coming.

The day retreat also includes tea/coffee and pastries plus lunch in the refectory.
